The Hardy Boys Reuniting on SmackDown, WWE Down in Canada, Magazine News

– Aside from the Smackdown/ECW tapings this past Tuesday in Edmonton, WWE’s return to Canada did not do very well. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that RAW on August 10 in Calgary only drew 7,000 people, while events in Medicine Hat on August 9 and Red Deer on August 10 drew in the 1,000 range. A SmackDown event on August 8 in Regina drew 3,000 fans. The strongest attendance was for the SmackDown/ECW tapings on August 11 drawing 10,500.

 


 

– Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Enterprises has sold Pro Wrestling Illustrated, The Wrestler and Inside Wrestling magazines back to the previous owners, Kappa Publishing. Golden Boy originally purchased the magazines from Kappa back in 2007.

– It was announced on last night’s SmackDown that World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy will team with his brother Matt and John Morrison to take on Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith and CM Punk in the main event of next Friday’s show.
