AEW put on a great show in Double Or Nothing but it appears that it wasn’t all good for the new promotion as a couple of their top stars suffered injuries during the show.
Indie Lucha Libre promotion Lucha Empire had both the brothers booked for an upcoming however they recently announced that they are canceling the show.
The promotion sent out the following tweet noting that the event is being canceled because the Lucha Brothers are ‘banged up’ after their match at Double Or Nothing:
EVENT CANCELLED. Last night during AEW show "Double or Nothing" the Lucha Brothers @PentagonJunior & @ReyFenixMx got injured and were not able to travel today. If you bought your tickets online @Ticketon please call 1-800-668-8080. pic.twitter.com/AbL8NcANvc

So far there aren’t any more details available on the injury of these stars so its hard to say how serious their condition is or how long they will stay out of action.
Though a rematch between them and the Young Bucks has been announced for the upcoming 16 AAA Verano de Escándalo event from Mexico which suggests that the former AAA Tag Champs are not expected to stay out of action for very long.
