The Miz Rumored ‘Burial’ In WWE Title Match Leaks

The Miz appears to be set to be totally out of the WWE title picture imminently, despite being the current WWE champion after defeating Drew McIntyre at Elimination Chamber. Could this be the beginning of the end for The Miz and his championship run? Edge was set to face off with The Miz in a surprise match.

Vince Russo sat down with Billi Bhatti on the newest episode of ‘The Nitty Gritty Dirt Show’ on RussosBrand.com. They discussed The Miz and WWE’s next plans for him and his championship reign, and how he will be buried back to the midcard. The Miz will face Bobby Lashley on Monday.

Bhatti: “There will be some altercation involving Drew and Lashley who really cost him the belt. They’re trying to remove Miz out of the picture because they don’t want Drew to get revenge on Miz at this point in time.

Billi Bhatti continues with the story: “I’m sure there will be some kind of squash match between now and Wrestlemania, but they don’t want the focus to be on Miz. They want the focus to move onto Lashley and McIntyre. That’s why McIntyre [was] left on TV.”

There we have it. It looks like WWE is making Miz have a very short term run with his title. WWE just can’t seem to let other talent have the title for too long. It seems that WWE loves monotony.
