Sheamus didn’t appear on this week’s Smackdown Live and it clear that only Cesaro was around for the show, as he took part in the 6-man tag team match for the show. Apparently, Sheamus has been suffering from an injury. However, the nature of the injury was not known.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Sheamus might have suffered a concussion during the six-man tag team match last week. So, due to WWE’s concussion protocol, he is currently on the shelf.
Fans were concerned that his injury might have had something to do with with the spinal stenosis he suffers from. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
No date for his return has been provided as of yet. So he will go through all the regulated examinations and concussion impact testing until he can make his in-ring return. Hopefully, he makes his return soon enough.
