The pre-taped Christmas Eve edition of Monday Night Raw draws record-low ratings

One week away from the final Monday Night Raw of the year, and the flagship brand continues to stumble. Though, considering it was a pre-taped show and it fell on Christmas Eve, no one expected to see Raw draw well this week.

That being said, 1.77 million viewers is lower than most would’ve expected. It was around a 30% drop from last week’s Raw, which drew around 2.55 million.

To cut the WWE some slack, most networks that night drew lower than average. Monday Night Football, for example, fell to an 8.60 million when the Denver Broncos took on the Oakland Raiders, down a whopping 34% from last week’s 13 million when the New Orlean Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers.

Christmas Eve kept the majority of viewers away from the TV this year. It will be interesting to see how the company bounces back next week on the New Year’s Eve edition of Raw.
