The Revival had been unhappy with their position in WWE for a while and the duo had asked for their release as well but their request was denied.
It was Scott Dawson who was originally expected to be released in early April as his contract was set to expire, while the company had added time to Dash Wilder’s contract for the time he missed due to injury.
Wilder was originally expected to be released in mid-June but it appears that the company decided to save the hassle and release both the stars together.
