According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock was supposed to appear during this year’s WWE Survivor Series to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his WWF main promotion televised debut at Survivor Series 1996. However, that will not happen as he will be busy filming the second season of ‘Young Rock’ in Australia in November. He will remain in Australia till late January as well.
This had been talked about for a long time, but it fell through since Johnson had other commitments that has him in Australia for the filming of the second season of “Young Rock” on the day of the show. Because of quarantine regulations, it’s going to be impossible to go back and forth so those involved with the show, including Johnson, will be in Australia from a few weeks from now until late January.
