The Rock Losing Money For WWE Return?

There is no doubt that The Rock is still regarded as of the most popular pro wrestlers in the history of the business. He has competed against the best of the best as far as the world of professional wrestling. This includes someone like Chris Jericho, who has had several matches against The Great One. Roman Reigns vs The Rock major spoilers were also leaked previously.

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is certainly one of the top competitors in the company right now and has been on a solid run as the WWE Universal Champion since winning the title back in 2020. He has run roughshod on Friday Night Smackdown and defeated almost every single challenger that has come in his path. This includes Rey Mysterio, Edge, Bryan Danielson, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, John Cena, Brock Lesnar and so many more.
For a very long time, fans have been wondering whether The Rock and Roman Reigns would be able to face off against each other at WrestleMania 39 next year. However, now it seems the match may or may not happen. Dave Meltzer talked about the various reasons for The Rock not coming back for a match against WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.

“If he’s got any kind of an action movie deal, I would say within a couple of months of that, let alone if he’s got one that takes place during that period, there’s no way he would do it. If it’s even like a month or two after, I think that there’s no way he would do it. They wouldn’t let him because the insurance and everything like that would be too high. That’s why they never let him do another one.

If he wants to do a clean slate and not do anything, but still, he’s going to be promoting this stuff. He can promote this stuff and still train, but I don’t think he can promote this stuff and do… It’s not just movies. He’s, you know, Ballers, Young Rock, he’s got TV shows that he does. I know that’s kind of the plan for next year, but yeah, but, the guy’s got a lot on his plate that’s going to be a higher priority.

I know that he had the hernia that Kenny Omega had, too. There’s a lot of guys [aged] 50 on this WrestleMania. Austin’s doing it. Bill Goldberg just wrestled the other night. Austin got hurt on one of his run-ins.”
