The Rock remembers one of his favorite heels; KENTA angry at being compared to Punk

Dr. D is remembered for slapping John Stossel, a journalist, at a professional wrestling show when he was asked if wrestling was real. The next episode of Vice’s Dark Side Of The Ring will be taking a look into Dr. D Save Schultz’s life.

The Rock remembers Dr. D very well and praises him as one of his favorite heels. He has seen a rough cut of the episode and praised it. Here is what he said:

This man was one of my all time fav heels (bad guys) in pro wrestling and an influence on me when I first shook his hand in Hawaii when I was 12. I’ve seen an early cut of this episode and highly recommend you watch, if you have any squared circle DNA in your blood. #DrD

Dwayne Johnson certainly remembers Dr. D for more than just his slap that made him infamous.

CM Punk is famous for using the GTS as his finishing manoeuvre, but he is not the first person to perform that move. KENTA, formerly known as Hideo Itami in WWE, took to Twitter and reminded a fan who invented the move.

KENTA saw a clip of him performing the GTS, remarking it was “before someone used it in WWE.” A fan responded that CM Punk did it better than him, which received a prompt reply by the NJPW Star.

I don’t give A F**K.
And let me tell you one more fact.
I always open my arms for that someone pay royalties to me.

He also told another fan that he is better looking than CM Punk as well. It is a shame we will never get to see the two square off in the ring.
