The Undertaker confirms the ending of the streak was a last minute decision

The ending of Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak will always be a controversial decision and during a recent interview, Taker revealed that it was a last minute decision.

The former World Champion recently had an interview with CBSSports.com where he talked about a number of things including his infamous match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30.

During the interview, Taker revealed that the outcome of the match changed depending on the day and a week before the event, he believed that he was going over:

“We had gone back and forth depending on the day. It changed very often, but it had been that way [with Lesnar losing] for about a week, and I showed up thinking I was going over. I found out about 1 p.m. that I wasn’t. It is what it is.”

Continuing on the topic, the Dead Man discussed how a different talent could have benefitted from the win but he said that at the end of the day, he is going to do what Vince McMahon will tell him:

“Ultimately, the streak is one of the greatest accomplishments of my career and something I’ll be synonymous with for my legacy. But at the end of the day, I’m going to do what Vince wants me to do. He created The Undertaker. He gave me the opportunity. Could I have made a power play? Yeah, but seriously, what good was that going to do? What kind of precedent does that send? It just wouldn’t have been right.”
