The Undertaker reportedly signs a new deal with the WWE

Just as everyone thought that The Undertaker would finally phase out of the WWE with his commitments outside the company increasing, the Deadman has pulled off a swerve by reportedly signing a new deal with the company.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio claimed that Vince McMahon was not pleased about the veteran making appearances outside the company and soon began negotiating a deal after learning about Taker’s planned appearance at the Starrcast II convention.

The Undertaker was booked for yet another appearance outside of the company. He was slated to appear in a Q&A section for the Inside the Ropes, he was, however, replaced by Mick Foley. Meltzer stated that the Phenom tried hard to keep his commitment. He said:

“Undertaker pushed really hard to keep the commitment in England, Taker could have opted to completely pull out of the UK commitment and Starrcast but he didn’t. There were forces that wanted him not to go at all.”
