The Young Bucks on almost quitting wrestling

The Young Bucks are one of the most successful tag teams in the indie circuit now and they are doing lots of new and exciting things but this wasn’t always the case.

It’s pretty well known that their run with Impact Wrestling had failed miserably and during a recent appearance on Talk Is Jericho podcast, they also revealed how their second ROH had failed as well after they got released from Impact.

According to the brothers, the company didn’t want them for shows and the reason Officials gave was that their  ‘west coast flight was too expensive every weekend.’

Continuing on the topic, Matt recalled how he had even thought of quitting wrestling after these events because he was about to have a child:

“I was ready to quit, I think, because I was having a kid and it wasn’t because, ‘oh, I fell out of love with wrestling’. I still loved wrestling. It was, ‘I’m having a child and I need money!'”

Thankfully, the Bucks decided to stick longer and now they are not only a successful tag team but inspiration to many indie wrestlers as well.
