Theory Breaks Character To Go After John Cena

WWE Money in the Bank 2022 Premium Live Event is in the history books now. Theory dropped the WWE United States Championship to Bobby Lashley at the event. However, he seemingly pulled some strings and was added to the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. Surprisingly enough, he walked out as the winner after defeating Drew McIntyre, Omos, Riddle, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Sheamus, and Madcap Moss.

Theory called out John Cena after winning

After winning the Money In The Bank, Theory cut a promo celebrating his big win. He called out John Cena, saying his time is now and he’s the best in the ring.

John Cena recently made his highly-anticipated return on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW to celebrate 20th Anniversary of his debut. Fans had been speculating that the Theory would be Cena’s opponent at SummerSlam. WWE is seemingly going in that direction. Even a brief backstage interaction between Cena and Theory on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW was enough to thrill the crowd, who has been waiting for the two to cross paths for months.

Theory has been calling the former 16-time World Champion for months now. While on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Theory discussed his future in WWE and if he sees himself as a future face of the company like Cena was.

“I think so just because, I mean, I don’t know what that level is because I’m on my way up,” Theory said. “I know myself and I know my work ethic and I plan to only get better and I just want to give this everything that I’ve got.”

We will now have to see if Theory and Cena go face to face at the upcoming SummerSlam event later this month.
