Thunder Rosa was scheduled to face off against Ivelisse on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Rosa emerged victorious in the match and then she shared a moment with Hikaru Shida and the NWA Women’s World Title. However, it seems personal problems ensued in the match.
According to a report by Fightful, Thunder Rosa and Ivelisse started to use actual strikes against each other as the match broke down towards the end. When Rosa noticed Ivelisse not selling some of her spots, it seems Rosa was offended by this. Thunder Rosa is said to be very proud of the NWA heritage and did not want to make her promotion look bad on national television.
So she took matters into her own hands in order to make Ivelisse sell her moves. Rumors began to spread in AEW backstage that the two did not get along at all prior to their match. Rosa is known to be a very stiff worker, having been trained by the likes of “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes in the past.
It was also said that “those in attendance thought that the match was going to have to be edited, but we weren’t told whether or not it actually was.”
