WWE announced that Aleister Black will finally get his rematch against Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship title. That match will take place at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix event. Black lost the title to Ciampa on the July 25 NXT TV episode.
Black was dealing with a groin injury after he lost his title, so he was written off TV in order to recuperate. He made his return and defeated Johnny Gargano at TakeOver: War Games II last month.
Gargano was responsible for putting him on the shelf in the storyline. Now it seems their feud will come to an end as they will compete in a Steel Cage match that will air on December 19th.
It is a question if Black will be winning the NXT title considering he might be getting called up to the main roster on either RAW or Smackdown soon enough.
TakeOver: Phoenix will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2019, from the Talking Stick Resort Arena during WWE Royal Rumble weekend.
