Pwinsider.com reported recently that Legado Del Fantasma is going to the main roster, featuring former TNA X-Division Champion Xema Ion, who is part of the NXT group. The current plan is for the group to debut on the SmackDown brand. Per the report, they could appear as soon as Friday’s SmackDown season premiere from Worcester, MA.
There were pitches for them recently, and some within the company believe the group will start this week. Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Electra Lopez, and Raul Mendoza will all be called up together.
This has been expected since Escobar lost to Tony D’Angelo in a match at NXT Heatwave in August with the stipulation that if Escobar lost, then he would leave NXT, but if he won, then Legado Del Fantasma would be free of D’Angelo.
