Tom Cruise Cancels Mission Impossible Filming For Sad Reason

Filming had to be called off on Thursday for Mission: Impossible 8 due to heavy winds. This meant Tom Cruise’s day was wasted waiting for the weather to calm down. The 60-year-old actor is in the United Kingdom to shoot scenes for the upcoming film but unfortunately, that couldn’t happen that day.

The star had arrived in a large field to shoot scenes for Mission: Impossible 8 in a personal helicopter. But director Christopher McQuarry had to wrap up filming due to heavy winds.

According to photos by The Daily Mail, the actor was chatting with the crew as winds continued to blow.

Jason and Sarah Haygarth, who were present at the scene, told the following to Extra: ‘Toward the end of the walk, the last peak, we start seeing helicopters coming up a ravine and dropping people off the top… We were like, this didn’t seem right. We found out the people, they were the cameramen. When we came to the peak, we got stopped by what must have been a production team member, saying, “You can’t go. We’re going to land the helicopter off the top…” So we took a selfie.’

They then spotted Tom Cruise as well, with Sarah saying that they expected a stunt double, not the star in the flesh. He even apologised for the noise due to the helicopter which may have spoiled their walk.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will see Tom Cruise alongside Hayley Atwell. The film is set to come out on July 14, 2023.
