Tommaso Ciampa gives positive update on his condition

Prior to NXT TakeOver: New York, Tommaso Ciampa had to vacate the NXT Championship in order to undergo neck surgery. This saw NXT cut the thrilling program between the Psycho Killer and Johnny Gargano short, and resulted in Gargano picking up the title after beating Adam Cole in a 2-out-of-3 falls match.

When it was announced that Ciampa was going under the knife, it was unknown if we’d ever see him in a ring again. After all, we’d seen many careers shortened or ended due to similar injuries. However, Ciampa put the minds of the WWE Universe at ease today while also celebrating his birthday.

The Blackheart took to Twitter to reveal that he’d gotten some good news from his doctor at his two month follow up, stating that he “looked great”.

At the moment, we don’t have a timetable for his return. However, it’s great to see that Ciampa’s in good spirits and excited to get back to the ring.
