Wrestlers with a history of neck problems and subsequent surgery generally do not have lengthy pro wrestling careers – Edge, Nikki Bella and even “Stone Cold” Steve Austin are testament to that.
With former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa having undergone spinal fusion surgery last month, and his age of 33, the odds of a return for the Blackheart do not appear promising.
Ciampa’s latest tweet is an update on his in-ring status and while demonstrating his drive and determination, does highlight the severity of the situation – even more so when doctors are saying he will be on “borrowed time” if he decides to return.
