AEW star Wardlow has been one of the top emerging talents. He has been incredible inside the squared circle and the signature Powerbomb Symphony has also drawn some praise from the fans. He won hearts during his heated and personal feud with MJF. Wardlow recently talked about a potential move to WWE.

Wardlow is not ruling out a move to WWE

When it comes to a possible switch to WWE that would see him follow the footsteps of the American Nightmare, Wardlow gave “K & S WrestleFest” a simple answer with a classic wrestling cliche.

“I’m very, very happy where I am. I never say never about anything in life, but as of right now, I am very happy where I am,” he said.

After wrestling on the indie scene since 2014, he was given an opportunity by Tony Khan in 2019. Appearing on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet‘s podcast, Wardlow revealed that despite ‘acing’ his WWE tryout, WWE higher-ups were still doubtful of his abilities. He mentioned that the rejection almost made him consider quitting:

“I aced that tryout [WWE]. I mean, with flying colors, and they didn’t want me. So for the first time in my life, I went, Oh, well, maybe this isn’t gonna happen.

He stated that he considers himself fortunate to grind and stay put with pro wrestling until AEW emerged:

“You know, fortunately, I stuck with it, and I was determined to make it happen one way or another, and I thank god every day that AEW came about.”
