Billi Bhatti stated recently that Tony Khan made offers to Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy for making the jump over to AEW. Black had an offer from WWE, and told them he’d be visiting AEW. Black was so impressed with AEW backstage that he signed, and ended up debuting to start a feud with Cody Rhodes.
Black’s debut on AEW was huge and the crowd really ate it up. It looks like he will have even more room for his character work there as well.
