Tony Khan Reacts To Brock Lesnar Shooting On Randy Orton

Tony Khan has been making all kinds of news lately, becoming more of an on-screen presence between AEW and IMPACT Wrestling. This week, Khan even appeared ringside on IMPACT last night, alongside Jerry Lynn. Khan was also the latest guest on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette.

Renee Paquette asked Tony Khan what would be his “go-to” match. The AEW President ran down some iconic match-ups throughout the history of the sport. Some iconic Ricky Steamboat bouts with Randy Savage and Ric Flair were named, as well as Brock Lesnar and John Cena at Extreme Rules 2012.

Khan went on to talk about Lesnar’s matches with Cena and Randy Orton, claiming that The Beast’s bout with the latter was unsafe. wrestling-edge.com transcribed his comments.

“I might’ve said the John Cena-Brock Lesnar match where they beat the hell out of each other. Not the short one, not the short beating. I’m talking about Brock’s first match back, Extreme Rules 2012. That was something, and it wasn’t for everybody. But it was a lot safer than the match he had with Randy at SummerSlam, I thought.”

Khan also named a few matches that took place in his own company. Cody Rhodes vs MJF and Orange Cassidy vs PAC, specifically, received a lot of praise from him, and Renee as well.
