Tony Schiavone Reveals If Brian Cage Injured Sting

On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, we were all shocked to see Sting take a vicious bump that included a gut kick followed by a powerbomb delivered from Brian Cage. Our main concern is, is Sting okay?

The powerbomb from Cage was the first time we’ve seen Sting take a bump like this since his match against Seth Rollins at WWE’s Night Of Champions in 2015. The bump delivered from Rollins of course retired Sting until AEW.

Sting still holds nothing against Rollins.

Tony Schiavone was asked why AEW was allowing a 61-year-old Sting to take a dangerous bump like a powerbomb.

“Because he obviously wants to,” said Schiavone. “And he obviously thinks its good for business.” Schiavone continued and clarified that Sting was “OK” and he is looking forward to his in-ring return.

“As scary as that may be, and I know what you’re getting at, he’s ok. So there you go.” said Schiavone

Schiavone did say that he was “shocked” and “scared” in response to another fan wondering why Sting took the bump.

‘The Icon’ Sting will team up with Darby Allin against Team Taz’s Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a street fight at AEW Revolution on March 7. This should be an incredible match. We are glad Sting is healthy.
