Top indie stars headed to WWE next year?

Both Pentagon Jr and his real-life brother Rey Fenix are two of the top wrestlers in the indie circuit at the moment, and it appears that they could be headed to WWE next year.

According to a report from Wrestling Observer both the brothers have informed indie promoters that they wouldn’t be able to book them in 2019 and the two are not taking any bookings beyond 2018.

In the wrestling world, this is the sign that a wrestler is looking to sign an exclusive contract with a company and the most likely destination for them is none other than WWE.

Regarding their Lucha Underground contracts, both the brothers have an opt-out clause in their contract, and they can choose to leave the company after the latest season of the show.

Since WWE has shown interest in hiring Mexican wrestlers in the past to fill the void left after Rey Mysterio parted ways with the company, it looks more than likely that both Pentagon and Fenix are headed to the company sometime next year.
