Top matches for Hell In A Cell revealed?

Aj-Styles-Hell In A Cell

While the ‘card is subject to change’ it appears that we may have an idea about a couple of top matches for the upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV, thanks to the advertisements from San Antonio‚Äôs local ABC affiliate KSAT 12.

The first match which is being advertised for the show is a WWE Championship match between the current title holder AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

It makes sense since there have been reports of the company planning a feud between the two and Styles’ current challenger Rusev is not expected to have a long rivalry with AJ.

The second advertised bout, however, is a little unusual and it’s expected to see the Big Dog Roman Reigns going against the former Universal Champion Kevin Owens.

We are a little skeptical about this rivalry as there have been reports of Roman challenging and possibly defeating the Beast Brock Lesnar and it’s a little hard to believe that his first rivalry as a champion will be against KO.

Hell In a Cell this year will take place on September 16th and it will be the first PPV after SummerSlam.

There is a good chance that AJ Styles may drop the title to Rusev I believe. Because he is popular an I always thought he would make a good WWE champion.

  • The Insider

He was supposed to until The Greatest Royal Rumble was announced and they were going to do the title change there. Then Vince looked at the calendar and realized he could screw Punk one more time and not do the title change for another couple of months. This is actually what happened.

Rumor just in, Lesnar to drop belt at last wrestlemania.

  • The Insider

Lastest rumor is Lesnar may hold the title until next year’s Mania. Others have him dropping it to Reigns or Rollins at SummerSlam.
