Transformers Star Reveals If Jamie Foxx Is Dying

Actress Dominique Fishback, known for her roles in projects like Prime Video’s “Swarm” and the upcoming film “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,” has expressed her happiness about Jamie Foxx’s recovery after experiencing a medical complication. Fishback, who co-starred with Foxx in the 2020 Netflix film “Project Power” and is currently working with him on executive producing her one-woman play “Subverted,” shared that she always thought of Foxx as superhuman and didn’t pay much attention to the situation until she heard updates from someone close to him.

Fishback expressed her relief and joy that Foxx is doing well, emphasizing her admiration for him. She spoke about the significance of “Subverted,” a play she wrote about 10 to 11 years ago, and the perfect timing of adapting it into a special with Foxx’s involvement. The play explores the destruction of Black identity through the eyes of a young girl living in an inner city in the USA. Fishback performed the play as her honors thesis at Pace University and it has been staged at various venues and festivals.

“I wrote it about 10, 11 years ago. And throughout New York, I had been writing letters to theaters saying, ‘Hey, would you do Subverted?’ and just waiting and wanting the very best,” she says. “Now I get to have Jamie Foxx, who is the very best. So the timing is perfect.”

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, previously revealed that he experienced a medical complication on April 11 while filming the Netflix movie “Back in Action” in Atlanta. Corinne shared that thanks to quick action and excellent care, Foxx was on his way to recovery. In an Instagram update on May 12, Corinne reassured everyone that her father had been out of the hospital for weeks and was recuperating well, even engaging in activities like playing pickleball. She also hinted at an exciting work announcement coming soon.
