Trent Seven addresses fans who think NXT UK signees are sellouts

The British Wrestling is seemingly the hottest it’s been in nearly two decades at the moment. With promotions like ICW and Progress receiving even more coverage than before, along with the return of World of Sport, it could be said that it may be at its peak.

Many of the stars who have helped build it up, including Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Zack Gibson, and most recently, WALTER, have joined up with the WWE in hopes of helping to shine even more light on it.

However, some fans feel that those who have opted to sign with NXT UK and the WWE have betrayed the scene simply for the money.

Trent Seven of Moustache Mountain, in an interview with JOE, says that it’s complete garbage.

It’s codswallop. Absolute codswallop. It’s the most pathetic thing in the world. You don’t want to sound too egotistical, but in fairness [after] what we’ve done in the last two years for the independent scene, for certain fans to turn around and say that now it’s ruined, is probably the stupidest thing I’ve heard anyone say.

It’s quite clear [British Wrestling] is at the absolute peak of where it has ever been.

What are your thoughts on the situation? Are the UK stars joining the WWE selling out? Let us know in the comments below.
