Triple H offered former WWE Champion and Hall of Famer Kurt Angle a WWE NXT training job after he was fired as an agent on Raw last year, and Angle said he has considered the offer and is working on something secret with WWE. Vince McMahon ‘Warned’ Damian Priest Backstage.
Angle said on The Kurt Angle Show, “I would consider doing it. It’s something that I enjoy doing. Triple H offered me a job, I believe, to train wrestlers. He wanted me to come down once a month to NXT. Nothing transpired from it but maybe in the future, there might be a possibility. I like training people. I just don’t have a lot of time, believe it or not, including in this pandemic. I’m good at training people, I’m good at teaching stuff.”
He also discussed being told not to sign with WCW, “Somebody did approach me. I’m not sure who it was. Somebody called me and told me they (WCW) were interested, and they heard I was interested in WWE. Because I’d just met with WWE that week. This was the same week, right after the Olympics when Vince offered me the multi-million dollar deal. Somebody called me and said ‘If you want advice, call Ric Flair.’
So I called Ric Flair… We started talking about wrestling and I said “Would it be smart to go to WCW?” He said, “Hell no! No way. They’re not gonna use you right. You go to WWE? Vince will take care of you. Don’t come to WCW, they’re gonna bury you!” Ric was working for WCW at the time! So I thought he either doesn’t want me to take his spot, or he’s being honest. I think he was being honest.” Charlotte Flair Angers WWE With A ‘Dirty’ Photo.
