WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recently brought back Karrion Kross and Scarlett returned to WWE back in August. The couple was previously fired by the company last year. While Karrion Kross has been actively competing, Scarlett has yet to compete in a match. As it turns out, WWE even scrapped Scarlett’s in-ring return for this week.
Triple H nixed Scarlett’s in-ring return
After this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown went off the air, Matt Riddle, Braun Strowman, Madcap Moss, and Liv Morgan beat Legado Del Fantasma, Damian Priest, and Zelina Vega in the dark match.
According to Fightful’s paywall, Scarlett was internally listed to make her return to the ring during the dark match as a participant. However, she was not part of the match in the end. Scarlett has still only worked two WWE matches ever, a dark match last year on Smackdown, and a squash in 2016. It was further reported that the continued internal listing came as a surprise to Scarlett, who was never informed of the match.
Meanwhile, Karrion Kross has found his new target. It is none other than veteran WWE star Rey Mysterio, who was transferred to SmackDown in October to separate him from his son Dominik. On Friday’s edition of SmackDown, a vignette aired featuring Karrion Kross and Scarlett reading tarot cards. At the end of the promo video, Scarlett uncovered a Rey Mysterio tarot card, revealing Kross’ next target.
