Triple H Firing WWE Stars After Crown Jewel?

Bodhi Hayward was recently released from WWE alongside Sloane Jacobs, Erica Yan, Damaris Griffin, and Ru Feng. The landscape of WWE changed ever since Triple H took over WWE creative and talent relations. It seems that he will continue releasing talents.

Triple H could be firing more NXT stars

Due to this, people have been wondering whether the company will end up letting go of more talent in the future. While speaking on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE is still planning on regularly releasing NXT talent if they think they are not progressing as fast as the company wants.

Meltzer also confirmed that in the case of Hayward, it was more about his work ethic than him not progressing.

“The feeling was that for all the people who were dropped, the main reason was lack of progression – they thought they weren’t improving fast enough. That’s going to be the case – they’re going to be cutting people at the 6-month mark, at the 1-year mark if they’re not progressing at a certain level. Anyone who doesn’t get to TV within two years will get cut. We’re going to get regular developmental cuts. But with Bodhi Hayward, it was more than that. It was the work ethic.”

Fans loved to witness Hayward every week on programming. It has been reported that unlike previous years of ‘budget cuts,’ the releases this week were down to WWE not seeing enough improvement. Hayward’s release was the most surprising of the five, given that he was part of the Chase U stable at the time. He also posted a video clip after the firing.
