Triple H gives an update on NXT TakeOver: WarGames injuries

The recently concluded NXT TakeOver: WarGames saw some brilliant performances, not only from the WarGames matches but the regular ones as well. The NXT North American title changed hands yet again, with Johnny Gargano recapturing it.

But he had help in the form of a Ghostfaced Austin Theory, while several other Ghostfaces kept attacking and distracting Damian Priest and Leon Ruff.

Overall, it was a night of brutal action, one that is likely to see a few injuries. Triple H was asked about the status of the Superstars in the post-event media call by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

Triple H details possible injuries at TakeOver: WarGames

Mike Johnson specifically asked after Candice LeRae, as it seemed like she had hurt her hand in a spot with Shotzi Blackheart in the women’s WarGames match, which was won by LeRae’s team.

Triple H said that there were a lot of ‘bumps and bruises’ on everybody in general. Candice LeRae was getting her X-ray done as they spoke. But it is possible that Candice LeRae has suffered a broken arm.

“Right now, for the most part, bumps and bruises on everybody. What you would expect out of this. Candice (LeRae) is getting checked out now, getting an X-ray to be checked out. So I really don’t have a status update on that yet. (She has) possibly a broken arm, we’re not sure yet. We’ll see where that goes.”

Bobby Fish also possibly has got an elbow laceration, but nothing is certain about that injury either.

Despite the injury, it was a good night for Fish, as The Undisputed Era defeated Pat McAfee’s Kings of NXT team to win the WarGames tonight.

Among other questions, Triple H answered which NXT Superstars have improved the most this year. The Game named Shotzi Blackheart, Leon Ruff, Raquel Gonzalez, and Pat McAfee, but also pointed out that the list is long.

TakeOver: WarGames also saw a video package from Finn Balor, announcing that he would be returning to NXT on Wednesday, and then all eyes will be on The Prince.
