Part of his job backstage is to be involved with the recruitment of new talent for WWE.

Triple H on what the X-factor for WWE recruitment

Speaking at Learfield IMG College Intercollegiate Athletics Forum, The Game outlined what he and WWE looks for in young talents before recruiting them. According to Triple H, lack of ‘charisma’ would be a deal-breaker (via Metro.co.uk)

“For us, charisma is king. I’m looking for that person, male or female, that walks into a room and you’re drawn to them. That just has that charisma factor.”

Triple H admitted that he himself looks for ‘heart and hunger’ more than how refined someone’s skillsets are. Performers who come into the business with that often go ‘above and beyond’ than the rest, said the on-screen COO of WWE.

“You’re looking for the people that have the skillset … but it’s funny for me, I’ll take heart and hunger. They’ll work a lot harder and they might make mistakes, but in those mistakes you’ll find excellence. And they’ll go above and beyond to prove themselves.”

The Game on the impact of Performance Center

The Performance Center, now Capitol Wrestling Center, has been the basecamp for NXT and all new WWE recruits for a long time now. It has played an important role in shaping future Superstars and stacking the main roster brands.

“[It’s] really the key to the future for us, because it allows us to create the stars of tomorrow. And when you look at the rosters of Raw, SmackDown and NXT but especially of Raw and SmackDown, 95% of those talent came through the Performance Center and that system.”

NXT is also expanding its brand worldwide. After NXT UK, the black-and-gold brand is set to arrive in India in January next year.
