Triple H on NXT losing to AEW in key demo

WWE’s strategy of putting NXT against AEW Dynamite doesn’t seem to be working very well as AEW has so far been getting the upper hand and they have been beating NXT in ratings.

During a recent media conference call to promote the upcoming NXT Takeover: Portland event, Triple H talked about a number of things and also commented on the rating situation.

The Godfather Of NXT first said that it’s all about the long game and mentioned how they have to attract people of younger demos because it’s the area where AEW has consistently beat NXT:

“It’s about the long game, and what we have to do is get to the people in the younger demos. When you’re promoted in younger demos and you are viewed in those younger demos promotionally, then those are the people that you attract when you’re promoted in different demos.”

Continuing on the topic, Triple H said that breaking down the NXT numbers show that it’s very similar to numbers of Raw and other USA Network shows:

“When you look at NXT on USA and you break down the numbers, it’s very similar to a Raw number, it’s very similar to a USA number, because that’s where we’re promoted and that’s where we’re seen and that’s where everything else goes. But the long game is building up the brand that you’ve built.”

Apart from this, Triple H also talked about the reports of Matt Riddle having heat with Vince McMahon. You can check out his comments on the matter here.
