Triple H reacts to Keith Lee making history, Adam Cole’s record reign ending at Great American Bash

Paul “Triple H” Levesque took to social media to comment on the “Winner Take All” main event at night two of the NXT Great American Bash special, which saw NXT North American Champion Keith Lee defeat NXT World Champion Adam Cole to become the first-ever WWE NXT Double-Champion in the history of the promotion.

After the show on Wednesday night, the WWE EVP of Global Talent Strategy & Development commented on Lee’s victory capping off a “truly historic night.”

“Limitless” Keith Lee ended the evening by making history as the first NXT Double Champion, and after the show “The Game” posted his usual backstage photo posing with the champion, as well as this statement:

“A truly historic night for WWE NXT tonight at NXT [Great American Bash] as Keith Lee now holds both the NXT Championship AND NXT [North American Title]. Each new champion begins a new era… where he brings WWE NXT? The possibilities are #Limitless. #Congrats.”

Triple H also posted some post-show photos of himself with The Undisputed ERA’s Adam Cole just moments after losing the NXT World Championship and ending his record-setting 403-day reign as the title-holder for NXT. The tweet from “The Game” included this statement about Cole.

“There is a saying ‘it’s the talent that makes the title.’ During his 403 day reign over the black and gold brand Adam Cole MADE the NXT championship, THE championship. That reign might be over but he’s just getting started. Adam Cole IS #WWENXT and that…is #Undisputed. #NXTGAB.”
