Sheamus is currently going a hiatus after a recent ‘injury’ that he suffered at the hands of The Bloodline. After an assist by The Bloodline, Solo Sikoa defeated ‘The Celtic Warrior’ in a singles match on Smackdown last week. Sheamus was then attacked after the match, and his arm was smashed several times with a steel chair. WWE later announced that Sheamus suffered a “non-displaced fracture” near his elbow in the attack.
Reason behind Sheamus’ hiatus revealed
According to PWInsider, Sheamus was temporarily written out of the storylines because he is getting married this weekend.
Sheamus and Isabella Revilla announced their engagement back in July 2021 after he popped the question at The Cliffs of Moher in Ireland while on vacation. He is expected to miss this week’s Smackdown as well. We’ll have to see when Sheamus will be back.
Sheamus is coming off an incredible series of matches with Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, and seemingly set his sights on Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline. On recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Sheamus competed in a Fatal-Four Way match against Rey Mysterio, Solo Sikoa and Ricochet in a bid to be the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. The match was won by Mysterio, who will now get a shot at the Intercontinental Championship against Gunther.
Drew McIntyre is attending the wedding, and will be missing SmackDown with the permission of Triple H.
