Triple H Removes Top Tag Team From SmackDown

WWE has seen a lot of changes, but the practice of changing plans is forever a constant. The card is always subject to change, and that is exactly what happened this week.

Formerly, it was reported that a pitch was made to change the New Day vs. The Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy vs. Los Lotharios match. We have now just learned that this is out of necessity, and not a “pitch.”

As reported, a higher up member of the creative team has brought it to the attention of Ringside News that, “there was something being filmed involving Montez and Bianca and earlier this week it was deemed too important not to finalize the filming, and it had to be completed this week.” With the aforementioned being said, Montez Ford won’t be on the show this week.

As confirmed by Ringside News, it has now been confirmed that the Street Profits are “not at Smackdown tonight.” The match had to change as well due to certain circumstances.

It was then said that: “It’s not a ‘pitch’ to change the match. It’s changing out of necessity.”

We’ll have to see how things pan out in that big tag team match, but things have to change. Obviously, the Street Profits’ involvement wasn’t imperative, since the match will carry on without them involved, but this is definitely a blow to fans who were looking forward to their action taking place in the match.

Of course, this can always change as well and we can either see these changes taking place, or we can see nothing changing at all. It’s extremely hard to know exactly what will happen since WWE like to stay as tight-knit as possible and hushed about anything, but we would rather be on the side of reporting that the change may very well take place.
