Triple H Replaced By WWE Hall of Famer In NXT

Triple H recently made his return to work after being on a hiatus due a health scare. He had returned to the WWE Performance Center and grabbed the headlines. In May, it was reported that Triple H was back with WWE on a full-time basis. He was thought to be working in the company’s Stamford, Connecticut office. ‘The Game’ had changed the landscape of the developmental territory with his operational activities with NXT. It was believed that he was going to Orlando to work with NXT after saying he had returned. However, that is seemingly not the case, with Shawn Michaels still serving long term as his replacement.

Triple H is not directly associated with NXT

In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that those rumors are not legitimate. Hunter has nothing to do with NXT directly. The show is still being run by Shawn Michaels and a small creative team while Paul Levesque works in the office.

“It appears that when Paul Levesque was talking to the folks at NXT and said he was back, and nobody knew what that meant, it appeared just to mean he’s back working in the office. He has not been doing anything direct with NXT, which is still being run by Shawn Michaels with a small creative staff for television. Levesque has not been at the Tuesday night tapings.”

It was reported that Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard had started producing the shows for the third brand after it was revamped into NXT 2.0. The brand has ever since presented the young talents and has been doing a great job.
