‘The Game’ Triple H recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump Network programme. The former WWE Champion would discuss a number of topics during his time on the show, including NXT Champion Finn Balor.
Triple H was asked how important Finn Balor’s return to the brand was. Finn Balor made his return to NXT back in October 2019, being arguably the highest tier of performer to return from the ‘main roster’ of RAW and SmackDown to NXT.
“I think it’s been great. In the run up, I understand that it was sort of the place where you prove yourself, to then go on to something else. It has now become the place where you can prove yourself as being one of the best in the world. I think that Finn’s return here showed that. When he left the first time? I think there were a lot of people here that said ‘well he needed to leave because there has nothing else to do here.’ There’s always something else to do, you know?”
