Triple H forms a team for brand new NXT show

WrestlingInc has reported, the team which has been created for the new show would be an NXT minor leagues system.

The concept is similar to the task EVOLVE was doing until it was shut down amid COVID-19 pandemic.

As the report suggests, Gabe Sapolsky is leading the team and Triple H has provided him several agents and writers to help him get more comfortable with writing television.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter had previously reported that WWE executives would “try to find a way to implement some type of a show that would get more NXT talent ring time and exposure. They aren’t going to do house shows but they may add something in some form.”

The biggest challenge that has been faced was to format the concept for TV. The original idea was for this to be similar to another promotion running in some of the smaller tier markets that NXT serviced.

However, with house shows likely to not make a comeback soon, they are making it just a TV series.

The aim to launch the show was in early 2021, but it has been posteponed before and might face the same fate again.
