WWE had a habit of going the conventional way when people were different on the top, and they thought in one direction. Times have changed, but many people have already stepped away from the WWE. Renee Paquette made her AEW debut on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite as a backstage interviewer.
WWE’s new regime was always keen on doing things that were never done in the previous regime. Paige, now called Saraya, wanted to wrestle, but Vince was against the idea and didn’t think it was a good idea. It’s shocking that Saraya was ready to wrestle, but the opportunity was missed.
According to Fightful Select, Saraya was offered a GM role, but she passed. The new regime knew that they are letting an important performer off the door, so they kept the door for business open. Saraya went through three extensive checks, but Vince wasn’t convinced.
It’s shocking that such things happened with Saraya. Vince’s regime wouldn’t accept the new X-rays and didn’t ‘let her in.’ Triple H was shocked when he got to know that Saraya’s contract wasn’t renewed by the then-WWE’s Chairman and CEO, and wanted her back.
AEW was the only option for her as WWE wasn’t ready to accept her in a wrestling role, and she wanted a full of cut of her non-wrestling projects. She has done fairly well until now, and one needs to see what she does in the near future. She has an ongoing feud with the former AEW Women’s Champion, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD.
