Triple H ‘Will Never’ Replace Vince McMahon In WWE

Stephanie McMahon has revealed that she and Triple H will not take over WWE in Vince McMahon’s current role when he steps down or dies.

Stephanie told Bloomberg, “I don’t think there will ever be a person-to-person replacement for Vince McMahon, I mean that would never happen. You know, he does too much. The landscape would look different long-term in terms of how everything shakes out, but I think that the marriage of those pieces that I just talked about. Vince can do it all and then it’ll go to a handful of people who can extrapolate and grow his vision and continue to grow WWE’s business long, hopefully, into the future for generations to come.”

Legendary wrestling music composer Jim Johnston has composed several iconic entrance theme songs for WWE Superstars including The Undertaker, The Rock, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and others.

Jim Johnston was recently interviewed by Lucha Libre Online, where he gave his thoughts on the current state of WWE Superstars theme songs. It seems he is not a fan of the current music at all. Johnson went as far as to say he wants to slap Vince McMahon on the upside of his head.

“While I told you before this interview that I don’t do trash talking, but the closest I’ll get to being critical, is that, absolutely, I want to slap Vince upside the head. The music is so bad! These days it’s just sound effects and noises and stuff. It doesn’t have anything to do with the characters and the storylines anymore. That’s the essence of this business… And that’s currently lost. I don’t get it.”

Johnston then noted how he has mixed feelings regarding the current music.

“I hate to say this, but there’s a certain satisfaction that the music (in WWE) now is so bad. Because it makes me feel better about what I did contribute. It does make me feel bad for a bunch of the wrestlers, because without good music you can’t become a big star. I don’t believe it’s possible. The music is just like a score in a movie, it’s what leads the fans’ emotions. It’s a very visceral, very deeply emotional connection. That’s always what I went for, now that’s what’s missing.”
