Triple threat bout set for the SmackDown Women’s Title at TLC

In yet another feather to the cap of the women’s division, this year’s TLC pay-per-view will witness the first ever women’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

The opening segment of this week’s SmackDown saw Becky Lynch return and Charlotte Flair staking her claim for the title after leaving Ronda Rousey battered and bruised at Survivor Series. The confrontation resulted in Paige booking them for a title match at TLC with a place for the third competitor open in a battle royal in the main event of the episode.

The battle royal saw Asuka prevail against the likes of Carmella, Sonya Deville, The IIconics, Zelina Vega and Lana to earn a title shot at the upcoming pay-per-view.

Here’s the updated card for TLC:

WWE Championship
Daniel Bryan (Champion) vs. AJ Styles

Raw Women’s Championship
Ronda Rousey (Champion) vs. Nia Jax

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Triple Threat Match
Becky Lynch (Champion) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka

Tables, Ladders and Chairs match
Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin

Intercontinental Championship
Seth Rollins (Champion) vs. Dean Ambrose

Mixed Match Challenge final

  • Dirt McGirt

There is only one way the women’s triple threat can end: Becky pins Charlotte. Any other outcome is completely unacceptable. Asuka has lost far too often since moving to Smackdown and it’s not time for Becky to lose the title.
