Another WWE Hall of Famer, Edge, recently underwent a gimmick transformation as he has turned heel. He has displayed his darker side to the fans recently. ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ has notably changed his appearance and persona, as well as introduced a new theme and dark lighting during his entrance.

A few weeks ago, ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ brutally assaulted AJ Styles and delivered a con-chair-to to the former WWE Champion. This has caused ‘The Phenomenal One’ to take some time off to recover from the injuries. Edge’s wife and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix took note of her husband’s promo segment on this week’s edition of RAW and sent out a reaction on social media.

Beth Phoenix is upset with Edge

Taking to Twitter, ‘The Glamazon’ wrote a three-lettered message for her husband:

“This isn’t you”

Edge is a fan favorite but his recent actions have been disappointing for the fans. His attack on Styles came upon as a shocker to many. This week, Edge said that Styles might not make it to WrestleMania, given the injuries that the former champion suffered a few weeks ago. WrestleMania 38 will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT& T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Edge’s promo was heavily criticized

On this week’s episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, the former WWE and WCW writer Vince Russo lambasted Edge’s promo and dramatic lighting during the segment. Russo joked about the segment and compared the Hall of Famer to Violet Beauregarde from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Russo wondered why WWE felt that blue lights would make him look like a more intimidating heel.

Here’s what Russo had to say about the Rated R Superstar:

“Bro, I’m looking at this and I’m saying so now Edge is Violet Beauregarde. Remember Violet Beauregarde from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? What the freak bro! Can we stop this madness, bro? What are we doing? Blue lights – always a bad guy.”
