Trish Stratus Humiliating WWE Raw Botch Revealed

WWE Hall of Famer Lita had almost suffered an injury following a botch from fellow WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus during their iconic Monday Night RAW main event match in 2004.

Lita and Stratus had one of the most historic rivalries in the company. The two legendary stars squared off several times during their runs as full-time in-ring competitors.

In December 2004, Lita and Stratus had one of their most memorable matches when they went head-to-head for the Women’s Championship in the main event of RAW. The match saw Lita land awkwardly after attempting a suicide dive. While many thought she had injured herself badly, the Hall of Famer luckily escaped that fate.

During the latest episode of WWE Rivals, Lita opened up about the scary spot, revealing that a botch from Stratus led to her awkward landing.

“Trish kind of started absorbing the impact before I fully collided with her, kind of giving me nothing to dive into except the ground,” she said.

Lita almost broke Trish Stratus’ face with a disastrous botch. Lita detailed the incident in her book, “Lita: A Less Traveled R.O.A.D.–The Reality of Amy Dumas.”

“Michael Hayes—our agent for the match —told me that they wanted me to do something to Trish. Since things were running late, there wasn’t time for us to practice doing a moonsault on her, so Michael suggested, ‘How about a leg drop?’ I’d never done a leg drop before, but I’d seen Matt do it a thousand times. As usual, I thought, Why not? I can do that. The Hardyz and T&A had the match, I did my run in and as I stood on the second rope to drop the leg on Trish, I realized, ‘I don’t know how to do this,'” she said.

Becky Lynch, Lita, and Stratus will now team up to face Damage CTRL in a six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania 39.
