WWE Hall of Famer Lita made a surprise return during the brutal main event of the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, with Triple H now set to bring back Trish Stratus as well. Becky Lynch and Bayley were supposed to lock horns in a Steel Cage match at RAW XXX two weeks ago. However, the match was canceled after Bayley teamed up with Damage CTRL members Dakota Kai and IYO SKY to ruthlessly attack The Man, leaving her unfit to compete inside the monstrous structure.
WWE is just two weeks away from bringing the Elimination Chamber premium live event to Montreal, Canada. The company has already booked several matches for the show. It appears that we may be witnessing the in-ring return of a Hall of Famer at the event.
Lita could make an in-ring return
WWE continued the build-up to Elimination Chamber this week on RAW as well. Triple H and his team brought back Lita for this week’s main event, which featured a Steel Cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley.
Sean Sapp referred to an earlier report which had revealed Lita’s return on RAW this week. He then posted another spoiler behind Fightful’s paywall. According to the report, WWE is planning for Lita to make her in-ring comeback at the Elimination Chamber.
The former multi-time RAW Women’s Champion is likely to take on Damage CTRL at the February 18th premium live event. Lita is expected to be joined by Becky Lynch and longtime friend and former rival Trish Stratus in the build-up to a six-woman tag team match against Damage CTRL next Saturday.
