Trump Blocks Cops From Taking Mugshot?

An expert has claimed that former President Donald Trump will most likely not have his mugshot released when he is booked into jail on Thursday via Mirror.

Trump is a criminal defendant in multiple cases is expected to surrender and be booked into jail in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, as he is being accused of illegally scheming to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state.

Notably, this will mark his fourth arrest, and although he has not been handcuffed or photographed for a mugshot so far, a sheriff said in a press conference previously that the current plan is for the procedure to be followed as normal this time.

However, it is noted that mid public interest, a source familiar with the subject has told The Mirror otherwise. When asked whether he thinks a mugshot will be released, International Politics professor at City University of London, Inderjeet Parmar, replied “probably not” and highlighted that authorities have avoided the procedure so far.

Professor Parmar added to The Mirror: “That has not been done at any of his previous arrests or court appearances, he has also not been forced to do a ‘perp walk’ of shame that most suspects heading to court usually undergo.”

In his past appearances in a New York state court and federal courts in Miami and Washington, Trump was not handcuffed while in custody. He was also not required to pose for a mugshot, with officials instead using existing photographs of the former president.

After Trump’s latest Georgia indictment, Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat told the press: “Unless somebody tells me differently, we are following our normal practices, and so it doesn’t matter your status, we’ll have a mugshot ready for you.”

Regardless, Trump’s campaign team has already created and distributed their own – fake – mugshot of his likeness, with merchandise including T-shirts and coffee mugs having it printed on being sold on his campaign website.
