Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump, lauded his father’s ability to manage ongoing legal battles while simultaneously running his campaign for the 2024 presidential election. Speaking in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Eric Trump emphasized that despite his father’s involvement in court proceedings, he has maintained the stamina to continue campaign events across the country.

President Trump has been busy with the “hush-money” trial, facing 34 counts of allegedly falsifying business records linked to payments to his former lawyer, Michael Cohen. These funds were supposedly used to pay off an adult actress to keep quiet about an alleged affair, a claim Trump denies. The Supreme Court is also hearing a case to determine whether he has immunity from prosecution for acts carried out during his presidency.

Eric Trump, in the Fox News interview, stated that his father’s stamina is remarkable, highlighting his relentless schedule and ability to continue campaigning despite being in court. He noted that his father was frequently traveling to key states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin while dealing with legal proceedings. Eric expressed admiration for his father’s energy and resilience, suggesting that this quality makes him a suitable candidate for the presidency.

However, Eric’s comments come amid reports that former President Trump fell asleep in court on multiple occasions. The incident prompted President Joe Biden to mock Trump by calling him “Sleepy Don” during the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner, alluding to Trump’s infamous nickname for Biden, “Sleepy Joe.”

“The guy is really a remarkable human being and I love him to death and I’m proud of him. And I think the whole world knows his backbone and his toughness. And it’s exactly who we need behind the Resolute Desk in Washington, D.C. It’s the exact person we need in the Oval Office.”
