Trump Drops Sad Maine Shooting Bombshell

Donald Trump has posted on Truth Social about the tragic shooting in Maine.

“A terrible situation going on in Maine. At least 22 dead. It just seems to never end for the USA!”

According to Gateway Pundit, several recently elected GOP lawmakers have eagerly joined the race for the esteemed position of House Speaker, spurred by a stunning turn of events that saw Tom Emmer, labeled a RINO (Republican in Name Only) by former President Trump, step down from contention.

The decision by Emmer, a Representative from Minnesota, was prompted by a scathing social media post on Truth Social, a platform favored by the former President, in which Trump disparaged Emmer’s credibility and loyalty to the MAGA (Make America Great Again) cause. Following this denouncement, a group of 26 Republican representatives expressed their intention to vote against Emmer in the final House floor vote for the speakership, effectively sealing Emmer’s fate.

Trump’s strong-worded post on Truth Social emphasized Emmer’s alleged globalist tendencies and his perceived lack of connection with the core base of the Republican Party. The post cast doubt on Emmer’s recent pro-Trump stance, hinting that it might have been adopted solely for political expediency. In a strategic move to ensure Emmer’s defeat, Trump’s team swiftly disseminated the critical message to House Republicans, further solidifying Emmer’s diminished chances of securing the necessary 217 votes for victory.

“I have many wonderful friends wanting to be Speaker of the House, and some are truly great Warriors. RINO Tom Emmer, who I do not know well, is not one of them. He never respected the Power of a Trump Endorsement, or the breadth and scope of MAGA—MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! He fought me all the way, and actually spent more time defending Ilhan Omar, than he did me—He is totally out-of-touch with Republican Voters. I believe he has now learned his lesson, because he is saying that he is Pro-Trump all the way, but who can ever be sure? Has he only changed because that’s what it takes to win? The Republican Party cannot take that chance, because that’s not where the America First Voters are. Voting for a Globalist RINO like Tom Emmer would be a tragic mistake!”

With the 5:30 PM deadline for announcing House Speaker candidacy looming, a handful of GOP members officially declared their intent to vie for the prestigious role within the House Republican Conference. Among the prominent contenders were Byron Donalds of Florida, Chuck Fleischmann of Tennessee, Mark Green of Tennessee, Kevin Hern of Oklahoma, Mike Johnson of Louisiana, and Roger Williams of Texas.

While each candidate’s bid stirred interest within Congress, the buzz around Mike Johnson of Louisiana seemed particularly notable, drawing attention from Congress reporters and political observers alike. However, despite the momentum behind Johnson’s candidacy, concerns arose from within the party. Some noted reservations included the potential hesitancy of moderate Republicans to fully embrace certain policy inclinations espoused by Johnson, as well as unease about the concentration of leadership positions within Louisiana, raising concerns among certain factions within the right-leaning political sphere.
