Former President Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump recently claimed that her uncle is “terrified” by Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and her newly announced “pitch perfect” running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz via Mediaite.
It has been noted that writing in her newsletter, The Good In Us, Mary Trump discussed the former president’s immediate meltdown in response to the news that, she argued, revealed the full extent of growing anxieties within the Trump campaign.
Trump’s niece, who has been a long-time critic and psychologist, differed the vice-presidential picks, claiming that the Republican candidate chose Senator JD Vance (R-OH), a figure willing to “lick his boots, subjugate himself, and exhibit the kind of cruel weirdness” that resonates with the Republican base.
Meanwhile, Harris, she said, selected someone who has “executive experience and actually wants to work to make the lives of Americans better.”
Mary Trump wrote: “Tim Walz is a normal American who cares about helping other Americans. He believes, for example, that feeding children breakfast and lunch at school—free of charge—is a good thing to do even if the kids’ parents aren’t rich.”
She went on to describe Walz as a “rural hunter and Midwest dad” – “pitch perfect” for the role.
After the Walz announcement on Tuesday, Trump launched a scathing assault on the Minnesota governor, describing him as a “dangerously liberal extremist” who would unleash “HELL ON EARTH.”
Trump’s niece continued: “I hope Donald keeps this up. He’s creating a caricature of Walz that has no basis in reality and these attacks are not going to resonate with anybody except those of his followers who are still in thrall to, as opposed to heartily sick of, Donald’s apocalyptic vision of America.”
She also highlighted Walz’s career history as a high school teacher, football coach, and veteran of the Army National Guard, she added: “Walz is the Democrat’s answer to the bizarrely un-American construction of ‘Real America’ that Republicans have been shoving down our throats since at least Sarah Palin.”
