Trump Explodes At Pro Lifers In Sad Rant

In a recent post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump voiced his perspective on the subject of abortion and his role in reshaping the discourse around it. Trump asserted that the pro-life movement had little influence on the abortion debate until he entered the political arena, claiming that for 52 years, discussions on the matter had yielded no tangible results.

Trump emphasized that he was the driving force behind initiating action on abortion-related issues. He specifically mentioned that the talk of a six-week abortion ban, among other topics, would not have gained prominence without his involvement. Trump also criticized the Roe v. Wade ruling, characterizing it as allowing the termination of pregnancies at any stage, including late-term abortions and even post-birth scenarios. He labeled those who support such practices as “the RADICALS.”

Moreover, Trump underscored the significance of his administration’s achievements, especially in the realm of judicial appointments, which have had a profound impact on abortion-related policies. He pointed to his Supreme Court victories as a pivotal moment, arguing that they had shifted the balance of power and conferred significant influence upon those advocating for the pro-life movement. Trump claimed that, before his victories, pro-life advocates had been powerless in the face of abortion rights proponents.

In a nod to his stance on abortion exceptions, Trump noted that, like Ronald Reagan, he believed in allowing exceptions for cases involving rape, incest, and the life of the mother. He argued that such exceptions were essential for political success and winning elections. He also suggested that these exceptions aligned with following one’s heart on the issue.

In a Saturday interview with conservative media personality Glenn Beck, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said those in left-wing politics will “weaponize” recent comments by former President Donald Trump on Florida’s 6-week abortion ban.

“There’s going to be potentially on the ballot in Florida, a referendum for a constitutional amendment to basically have abortion on demand, the left is pursuing it, and if that passes, that means the legislature can never do anything to protect life,” DeSantis said.

“Do you think they’re going to run ads to Republicans and Independents, showing Trump, Trump voters, saying ‘Trump didn’t like this, vote the other way, for us’? Of course they are. They’re gonna weaponize what he said, to try to defeat the cause of life,” he continued.
